This is measured from the ground level down. This is the distance from the ground level to the solid bottom of the well. This measurement is a larger number (further down) than the static water level measurement and the current pump set position (if any).
The static water level is measured from the ground level down. This is the stable water level in your well when you have not recently been pumping water.
This is to ensure that your pump will not freeze. If you do not know, please contact your local utilities/authorities, well company, or builder.

Pump Configuration

There are a couple types of pitless adapters that will not allow a hand pump to be installed. You will need to remove the cap in order to verify. One will not allow the well cap to be installed correctly and the other does not provide the necessary clearance. If you have either of the two types of pitless adapters shown, you will need to change to a different type of pitless adapter in order to install a hand pump. Make sure to verify this before ordering, once the system is shipped standard return policy applies.

Most people pump into their home's pressure tank to have water available to the taps and fixtures.
When you are standing at the well head (ground level), is the water going somewhere roughly to the same level? If the water is going up a slope, what is the vertical height of the destination above the well head? (in feet)
Simple Pump's low-power-draw motors operate to a maximum of 225' static water level. Suitable for solar or other 12v or 24v DC source.
